My name is Tom Meurs. I am a chess player from the Netherlands, playing for almost 20 years. I love the game, not only is it intellectually challenging, it is at times beautiful and asks a lot of creativity. Every time I think I resolved the chess mysteries, I get in some strange position with some very unexpected turns. This keeps chess very exciting. Now, I love to share my passion about chess, and I think Udemy is a great platform to give people a taste of the world of chess. That's basically what I try to do in this course: there is everything to get a good foundation for playing and studying chess on your own, with friends or at the club.
This course is different then other courses about learning the game of chess:
1) I try to keep the video's as short as possible, without skipping any important topics. This makes the course easy and fun to watch.
