Brief Introduction

Decide WHEN To Buy & Sell, Identify Market Bubbles, And Be Better At Personal Finance Based On Economic Cycles.

Description

The creation of this course was inspired by the teaching of Ray Dalio on the role of debt, as well as my 17 years of experience as a data-driven macro investor.

90%+ of assets, including stocks and real estate, will lose value during a market crash caused by an Economic recession. Most of the assets will gain value when the economy is growing. Deciding WHEN to buy and sell is very different from what stock or house to pick. In this course, you will learn how to analyze the economy to understand when turning points are approaching, what is likely to happen, and how to act on these insights to make better investment and personal finance decisions.

Master Economic Analysis And Learn How To Apply It In Real World

  • Learn how the economy works

  • Develop expertise in analyzing economic activity of households and businesses, government and central bank policies, and international transactions

  • Recognize when the economy is likely to fall into recession and when it is likely to grow

  • Understand what drives market bubbles, crashes, and rallies

  • Build a comprehensive, free to use, mobile-friendly, and easy to maintain economic analysis dashboard

Comprehensive Economic Analysis For Investing And Personal Finance.

There are many benefits to developing expertise in economic analysis. If you are an investor, you will know where to get and how to understand economic data to make better investment decisions. If you are not an investor yet, but considering becoming one, you will understand what drives the markets and how to leverage economic trends to your advantage. You can also become a more valuable worker, as you will better understand the big picture. Finally, understanding the economy will help you with big personal finance decisions, such as buying a house.

More than half of this course is the hands-on practice of applying the knowledge you'll learn to the real world. You are going to work through exercises to analyze individual sectors of the economy, as well as how it functions overall. You will solve case studies that combine the last 20 years of economic trends, including three economic cycles, followed by market crashes (and recoveries) of 2000, 2008, and 2020.

I spent 17 years learning and applying skills in Economics and Investment Management. I found that these two subjects are often taught separately, although they are tightly interconnected. I developed this course to share how to leverage economic analysis to become a better investor and make better personal finance decisions.

Contents and Overview

This course contains 63 lectures and 14 assignments, including two comprehensive case studies. It's designed for anyone, regardless of experience level.

In this course, we will start with fundamental concepts. We will review all the segments in the economy and how they are interconnected. We will discuss economic cycles and unique identifiers for turning points.

Then, we will take a detailed look at each of the economic segments. You will learn how to analyze households, businesses, and financial companies. You will explore the role of international transactions. You will develop an understanding of government and central bank policies. You will learn what to look for in each segment that can lead to either growth of the economy and markets, or recession and market crash.

Also, we will talk about market psychology, smart money & dumb money, and other useful indicators to look at as you do your analysis.

By the end of this course, you'll gain valuable skills, as well as tools, on how to easily leverage economic analysis in the real world. You can use those skills and tools as an investor, in your job, or your day to day life.

If you understand what is happening with the economy, you are more likely to recognize when things are about to turn for better or for worse. And you know what the best part is? All the information you need is publicly available for free. You need to know where to look. Let's look.
