In 2018, I was challenged by my business coach to build my online brand using videos. But I was so nervous to show my face online and didn’t know what to say, how to say and what software to edit my videos...
By that time, I was totally new to video making and had absolutely no experience, no skills, no confidence to shoot a video (not even talking about posting it online…)
I still remembered when I made my first video, I took over 30 takes just to shoot a 3-min video and my hands were sweating, my face was red, my voice was shivering… I felt like having a fever after shooting.
And then it took me another 2 hours to edit my videos… that was a nightmare!
By that time, I had no courage to post it online, but my coach motivated me to share my value and voice to my friends. Because of my promise to him, I decided to post on Facebook.
And surprisingly, I got 1000+ VIEWS, received 110+ LIKES in my ever first video making journey!
I was super excited and joyful not only because I had great results, but I was proud of myself for putting so much effort and taking massive actions to overcome my fear, my challenges, my doubts, my limitations in making videos.
Since then I start making more and more videos.
And after 2 years of practising, now I can use less than 10 mins/ day to craft, shoot and edit a video.
And I am grateful that these skills and knowledge have allowed me to attract business opportunities and generated over USD8,333 in just 4 months when I started from 0 on social media.
