Do you like watercolor? Did you want to try it but never had the time or right moment? Are you already painting but need more advanced guidance? This course is for you: all you need is to relax, follow each step and listen to the comments.
I lived in Vietnam for about a year on and off and got inspired by a beautiful nature there. There are so many beautiful things, landscapes and views around! But mostly I was excited about sunny kids that run everywhere with a happy smile. I decided to paint one and teach you how to do it.
After this course you will understand that watercolor is not that difficult. This is not a magical pill and it doesn't mean a portrait of a child will appear out of nowhere ;) The secret is - I will not only show you the techniques but also explain HOW watercolor works. I will share tricks and tips, break down all the techniques and answer any question that you might have - just send me a message!
INSIDE THIS COURSE
- We will draw a sketch of a child's face with a pencil.
- We will talk about colors and color mixes.
- We will learn how to mix the most optimal color for the skin tone of a child.
- What to do with the background.
- How to achieve realistic look of a human's face.
- Learn how watercolor behaves and why, how to manage it and make it do whatever you need it do for you.
This course is not meant for beginners in watercolor, it is advised to have some understanding of color mixing. Also it is recommended to have some skill is sketching a portrait from the anatomical point of view. In this course I focus on teaching watercolor techniques and don't stay too long on drawing. Drawing a realistic portrait in pencil is whole another science and needs a separate class! :)
However don't be shy, if you don't have experience in the above, you will still enjoy the class because I demonstrate every step I make and explain why. I am painting straight from my room in Da Nang, Vietnam!

- Watercolor set: artist (professional) or student (beginner) quality
- Round brushes (3-5 items). Size #1, #6, #14
- Watercolor paper: 200-300 gsm (thicknes)
- Soft pencil (2B, HB)
- Extra: tissues, eraser, water cup with clean water
- You will need a smile ;)
