Genesis is by far my favorite book of the bible. I think it is because of how controversial it is. Straight away it hits you in the teeth with questions like how old is the universe, what's the deal with evolution, and why if God is so great, why is the world so awful?
I created this study because I had questions while reading the bible on my own when my spiritual journey began. Now, after reading through Genesis over 10 times in about 5 different translations, I wanted to share my knowledge with the world. I hope to answer some of the questions people have about the intersection between religion, science, and culture.
This course is designed to be simple, you can do it on your own or in a group. It took me years to participate in a church bible study, but online ones were great! I love them because they are a free and comfortable space to ask the hard questions without fear of judgement.
If you are having difficulty reconciling sacred texts and textbooks, you're in for a treat!
