In this Ear Training & Intuitive Listening course, we learn how to scientifically identify, by ear and on the fingerboard, all of the intervals that exist through an octave. What's the point? Why would you want this?
Music is language! Keep working toward building your vocabulary of chords, arpeggios, intervals, rhythms, and scales. If you know what you're saying with your instrument then you become a fluent communicator through it. If you can identify intervals, then identifying progressions and improvising over them becomes exponentially easier.
On paper, you will able to make quicker deductions about harmony and melody once there is confidence about the space, or the intervals, between the pitches your reading and/or playing.
Thicker, more robust chord voicings will be possible as you start stacking tensions, like 7's, 9's, 11's and 13's, on top of major, minor, diminished and augmented chords.

- You may want to consider taking notes along the way to write down important points.
- Please have a reasonable set of comfortable headphones or speakers available for clean listening.
- Avoid studying this material in a noisy environment. Distractive sounds will make learning these intervals more difficult.
