You may have a client that would like a favorite, yet dated, piece renewed. Others would like to refresh their cabinets in a truly unique way or restored with a bohemian yet elegant flair. The course will show three different examples of using a signature paint technique to produce individual finishes that transform your furniture art project.

By the end of this course, students will learn a signature painting technique and create three individually styled finishes inspired by the technique. You’ll be able to put together the right tools and supplies together for a successful project. You’ll know how to plaster a pattern to create an embossed look with added texture. You’ll learn about colour theory by using the colour wheel to understand the blending of colors. You’ll understand what products are best for creating the raised stenciling effect and what paints are best to blend to create the unique translucent look. You’ll learn how to blend and layer your chosen hues to paint a stained glass inspired look, a mixed media style, and create a botanical panel with translucent colors.
