We have 8 sessions designed to help you learn about trading the FX markets with an algo.
You will learn about price, indicators and how to match them all up to create a profitable trading strategy.
There are elements of technical analysis, risk management and systems development in this course.
In its simplest form, and algorithm is defined as a set of instructions used to perform a task with an end
objective. Therefore, algorithmic trading uses a series of instructions and parameters in order to initiate
and manage position taking in financial products – whatever class – in order to produce the highest
possible chance of achieving a profit.
In developing an algorithm, the design is built up of as many instructions and data feeds – whatever
their source – as is required by the trader (designer). The more information and parameters used by the
algorithmic system, the more sophisticated the design in order to make the decisions on trade, trade
entry and trade management.
Once the rules and parameters are set, the algorithm (system), is switched on and put to work in the
market, with the design including automatic trade execution as part of the process. This takes out the
human element once the system is switched on, and we can see that any emotional risk is therefore
taken out of the whole process.
