Description

During this course participants will be offered the opportunity to understand the basic principles of accounting. This course is split into five lectures. First we will go through the underlying principles of the accounting framework i.e. the basis of accounting as a whole. We will look at fundamental characteristics and enhancing characteristics of any financial report. The second lecture is all about VAT. Here we will look at what VAT entail, the different types of VAT and how to account for VAT. Next we will go through accounting for bank & cash and the importance of bank reconciliations. The fourth lecture is all about trade and other receivables and how to account, reconcile and disclosure trade debtors. The course is then finished off by going through the principles of trade and other payables.
